Terms & Conditions

Effective date: May 26, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and HomeBakeryBusiness.ca (“we,” “us,” “our”) covering your use of the website https://homebakerybusiness.ca and the online course “Ready to Sell: The Canadian Home Bakery Business Course” (the “Course”). Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, purchasing, or accessing the Course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by them.

1. Who can use the Course and Website Content

You may purchase or use the Course only if you are at least 18 years old and can form a legally binding contract under the law of your province or territory. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. Accounts are for a single student. You may not share your login, allow anyone else to access the Course through your account, or create multiple accounts in order to give others free access.

3. The Course and Resources are for informational purposes only — not legal advice

The Course and Resources provide general educational information about operating a home bakery business in Canada, including summaries of federal and provincial food-safety rules, labelling, sales channels, and business basics. It is not legal, tax, accounting, food-safety, insurance, or financial advice, and nothing in the Course or with the Resources creates a professional-client relationship between you and us. For advice about your specific situation you should consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction (for example a lawyer, an accountant, or your local public health inspector).

4. Regulations change — you must verify current requirements

Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws and regulations change over time, and they vary from one municipality to another. The information in the Course is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the date each lesson was published or last updated, but we do not guarantee that it is current, complete, or applicable to your specific situation. Before you start selling, change your product lineup, or rely on anything presented in the Course, you must verify the current requirements with the appropriate authority for your location — typically your regional or provincial public-health unit, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, your municipality, and the Canada Revenue Agency.

5. Pricing, payment, and access

The price of each product is shown on the checkout page at the time of purchase and is quoted in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes (GST/HST or provincial sales tax) will be added where required. Access to your purchased product begins as soon as your payment is processed and your account is activated. Course access continues for life. Access to the Homebaker’s Resource Toolkit and individual resources continues for as long as the tools remain available on the platform.

6. Refund policy — no refunds after content is accessed or 48 hours from purchase

We do not warrant that our products will meet your specific business goals, that the information is complete, accurate, or current, or that use of any product or tool (including the Pricing Calculator, the Food Label Builder, the Homebaker’s Bookkeeping Kit, the Invoice Generator, or the Province-Specific Compliance Checklists) will result in any particular business, financial, or regulatory outcome.

Your use of our products and website is at your own risk and discretion.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Course or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Course in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, or regulatory fines) even if we have been advised of the possibility of those damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeBakeryBusiness.ca and our directors, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or the rights of another person, or (c) any business you operate based on information from the Course.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Course and replace any earlier agreements or communications. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force and effect.
